Florida Health Care Plans Headquarters
SLH Construction completed the 50,000 sq. ft. interior build-out for the Florida Health Care Plans Headquarters in Daytona Beach, FL, in 2021. This year-long project transformed the space into a modern administrative hub, featuring executive offices, cubicle areas, conference rooms, restrooms, a gym with showers, a cafeteria, and a millwork shop. As the central hub for FHCP facilities, this project highlights our expertise in creating functional and high-quality workspaces.
Hammock Dunes Golf Club
Under previous employer ML Underwood, Shaun served as the superintendent for the construction of a new restaurant and gym at the exclusive Hammock Dunes Golf Club in Palm Coast, FL. Completed in 2018/2019, this oceanfront project brought high-end amenities to the private golf community. Now, through SLH Construction, our relationship with Hammock Dunes continues as we provide ongoing repairs and upgrades, ensuring the club maintains its premier status.
Oxygen Yoga & Fitness
SLH Construction transformed a 2,200 sq. ft. retail space in Daytona Beach, FL, into the state’s first Oxygen Yoga & Fitness studio. Located near the Intracoastal, this cutting-edge facility will offer infrared hot yoga, designed to enhance calorie burn and blood flow. The studio will feature infrared ceiling panels, floor-to-ceiling mirrors, a durable rubber gym floor, and dance grab rails lining most walls. This project showcases our expertise in creating modern, high-performance fitness spaces.
The Fish Tank
SLH Construction successfully transformed a 6,500 sq. ft. retail space in Daytona Beach, FL, into The Fish Tank—a state-of-the-art fresh and saltwater fish store and aquarium. Completed in just four months at the end of 2023, this project brought to life a modern, high-quality aquatic retail space designed for both enthusiasts and professionals. Our team delivered expert craftsmanship to create a visually stunning and functional environment for marine life and customers alike.
Florida Health Care Plans Orange City
SLH Construction has been leading the multi-phase transformation of the Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP) facility in Orange City, FL, for the past three years. This state-of-the-art surgery center has undergone extensive renovations, including the completion of doctor suites with exam rooms and nurse stations, a newly built pharmacy, restroom remodels, a dermatology suite, and an overnight stay surgery center. Currently, SLH Construction is working on Phase 6—the renovation of a sterile equipment room for the surgery center—continuing our commitment to delivering top-tier healthcare facilities.
Florida Health Care Plans Deltona
SLH Construction successfully transformed a 12,500 sq. ft. former Walgreens in Deltona, FL, into a state-of-the-art Florida Health Care Plans facility. This comprehensive project included a full interior and exterior renovation, delivering a modern, functional space to serve the community. Completed in 2023, the year-long renovation showcases our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovative healthcare construction.
Florida Health Care Plans Holly Hill
SLH Construction undertook the complete transformation of a former bank into the FHCP Medical Facility in Holly Hill, FL. This extensive remodel revamped both the interior and exterior, converting the space into a state-of-the-art medical facility. The project introduced key healthcare services, including a pharmacy, laboratory, clerical offices, and doctors’ offices, ensuring a seamless and functional environment for patient care. This renovation showcases our ability to repurpose existing structures into modern, purpose-driven spaces.

Born and raised in DeLand, Florida, Billy grew up the son of a farmer, where hard work wasn’t optional — it was simply part of life. Growing up building and fixing things himself gave him a natural ability with tools and a strong hands-on approach to construction. After college, Billy operated his own small construction company specializing in concrete before moving into residential construction as a Superintendent. From there, he worked his way into commercial construction, eventually spending years as a traveling Superintendent working with contractors throughout the Southeast. One of Billy’s favorite parts of being a Superintendent is bringing people together, building great teams, and watching a project come to life. Now, he’s excited to bring that experience back home and be part of the growing SLH team. “SLH has a personal, almost family-like atmosphere.
